Have you read the book my Lisa McMann? Here's the contest - but you must be 13 years old, and the submissions deadline is January 13, 2014! You could win this...
Many students (adult students, too) are learning the basics of coding this month - give it a try!
There are resources galore on this Symbaloo curated by Shannon Miller. An author, Adam Lehrhaupt, has put out a contest for you here: http://beta.adamlehrhaupt.com/?p=393
There are four themes for September - take on the challenge - if you dare!! Take a look at these new "selfies" for bookworms - I have to say, my favorite is the dog!! Well, no - THIS ONE is my favorite (so far)! Another great site is this one - making the books fit YOU!
So here's our first contest... Send me a book "shelfie" of you in front of some book shelves (they can NOT be at TMS - that's the challenge!), and I'll post them here. After we have at least 44 photos (2/3 of our students), we'll vote for the following categories: * Most likely to make you roll on the floor laughing * Most likely to be included in a magazine for librarians * Most original - Just how did he/she take that photo?? Winners will receive a new book (from a genre of his/her choosing)! This contest could possibly continue all year (it might take awhile for us to get 44 responses), so get thinking of how you want to portray yourself in your book "shelfies!" Check back to see what contests you can join - to publish your written work!
