For the longest time I’d admired my aunt’s art work, but had never considered trying to be an artist too.... Until one day she showed me one of her pieces for a tiger. The tiger she had drawn was rich with vibrant colors flowing seamlessly along the canvas. The orange of the fur that seemed almost lifelike popped out from the multitude of shades of green behind it making it appear to be jumping right off and out of the scene. I could just smell the fresh acrylic paint as the thought came to me “What if I could do this too?” After that, for the next of my birthdays and for Christmas the main thing I asked for was art supplies such as an easel, canvases, paint brushes, acrylic paint like the ones my aunt had used, colored pencils, water colors, and even more. With my new supplies I went to work trying to find things to paint and sketch. Sometimes I like to go downstairs and just submerge myself in art. I'll pull all of my paints out, put my tarp down and paint away for hours. Still to this day I try and find new things that inspire me to paint in the hopes of someday being as great as my aunt is.
