What a whirlwind this year is...
As you might have noticed from conversations at home or from our weekly notes, we had a lot of interest in our article of the week last week. Social media is a hot topic for these 12-13 year olds. Our "further reading" this week has to do with screen time as well (as you're reading this online...). We're taking a break from whole-group instruction for two weeks - students will be reading short stories (from twelve possible) and completing activities (from fifteen possible) on their own, with guidance from teachers. Ask your child about the stories their reading, and check them out (in our notes) if you'd like. The messages are powerful.
You may notice on today's pictures that we have a new seating arrangement and an added "calming" table - thanks to lessons learned from Mrs. Rehberger's after school SEL class!
