What a wonderful two weeks we've had! The first week of school was all about getting to know each other, and creating a culture of trust in the room. We also shared a bunch of book talks (see this page on the Weebly - it will be updated often) so every child has a book to read for the start of the year and more ready to go on their "to read" list. In our second week, we began building our reading and writing stamina. We also introduced how to have a fishbowl discussion, which we'll be using throughout the year with some of our reading selections. To see everything that we're doing in class, check our scholars' notes on this tab. Once we get our technology in class, students will be editing and then taking these notes. Soon we'll have student photographers, as well, who will be taking the pictures you'll see here! I'm excited to continue with the year ahead, and I hope your child is, too.

Simply email me to come into class in person or via Skype. We'd love to hear book talks (suggestions for good books) or picture books (read aloud by YOU). We hope to see you in class this year!
